Drainland
 Dublin, Ireland.
Drainland are essentially what would happen if Francis Brady from "The Butcher Boy" had grown up listening to underground music and decided to start a band. New kids on the block though they may be, these 5 freaks have combined previous musical backgrounds that cover everything from old school hardcore to doom metal to industrial/noise, and are on a mission to do their own thing. Having initally come together in early 2006 and having already in their one year existence survived enough shit (line up changes, equipment problems,family emergencies, illness, at least one broken limb..need we go on?) to kill a lesser ensemble, they've crafted a strain of dark, brutal metallic diy hardcore with a sense of dynamics and atmosphere that ensures they're as far from the clicheed bollocks that a description like " dark, brutal metallic diy hardcore" implies. Their first three song demo is released in April 2007.

An explosive live force and favourite among the vibrant Cork music scene.
For fans of early Whipping Boy, Drive like Jehu/Hot Snakes,....Trail of Dead – amazing high energy rock with an originality not seen on the Irish scene in years.
Eleven songs blending melody and noise, with anthemic choruses and screaming vocals laced with caustic lyrics of heartbreak, rejection and uplifting revenge.
Produced by the legendary Ciaran O’Shea (El Bastardo, Rulers of the Planet, Rest etc..).

El Bastardo

Cork's primer f*$k you, out of their heads, seering punk rock outfit!
Going with a few years, they've awe-struck audiance's all over the shop with their manic live gigs.After a demo and a split 7 inch with Slomatics in 2005, they've toured france and Ireland a few times and now release their debut full lenght 'Versus You' in 2007
Its going to be an insanely amazing album.

Hey Colossus
 London, England.
Hey Colossus are a 5 piece from London.
'Project Death' is their third album, which is a co-release between Jonson Family (UK), Shifty (U.S), Rimbaud (Ireland), and Underhill (Spain).
Wakusei plus maybe one or two others are doing the vinyl version
'HC offer up a much more spacious and epic sounding concoction. A definite post rock influence infuses their crusty sludge. A sort of Boris via Mogwai by way of Slint, or something. Creeping grooves that build into thick waves of grinding downtuned riffage, with weird shouted vocals, thick with Hawkwind FX and sent drifting over HC's spiky psychedelic krautrock stoner sludge grooves. Pretty freaking awesome, and a darn near perfect foil for Dot [.]'s more traditionally sludgy sound. '

Violent Breakfast
 Pisa, Italy.
Violent Breakfast unleash nothing short of measured fury and adrenaline.They blazed their way through the UK last August 2006 with a kick ass tour, and returned home to hit the studio and release their debut full lenght 'Nient'altro che tempo'.
They started in 2002 and have played throughout Europe, released records with bands such as Socrates and others, and are currently emerging as one of Europe's best bands.Fans of Italian fast emotional punk like La Quiete and Envy may want to take note of these guys.

(retards) are one of our favourites here - no one can seem to pin down what they sounds like - but check out the music and make up your own mind.
They've been compared to Big Black, Charles Manson, Mens Recovery Project, tHE Chromatics etc...but they are unique unto themselves

De Novissimis Dublin, Ireland.
De Novissimis, from Dublin, have been going since around 2004.2 previous releases before the Tunguska split 7 inch, and we've seen them emerge as one of Irelands most devasting units.
“negative, crusty doom that reminds me of bands like Corrupted, Burning Witch, Swans and de mysteriis-era Mayhem. Horribly slow riffs that suddenly switch to blast beat driven nekro as fuck black metal and return to total unrelenting trolls on acid filth. Nothing grows here, the aural equivalent of being repeatedly mouth fucked by Satan’s 12 inch cock.”

'Tunguska wants to let the world/scene know what they're capable of. Result: no filler, all killer. The two songs of brutal, metallic hardcore has the same powerfull blasting capacity as their compagnons on the split. Tunguska speed everything up though. Pretty fast riffing and bombastic, yet fast drumming. Sometimes the atmosphere from their two songs reminded me of Buried Inside etc. At the end of the second song they include some more melodic, higher pitched guitars too (yet they stay brutal).' - mashnote zine

Unison
 Belgrade, Serbia.
Serbian post-hardcore heros UNISON play fast hardcore with heavy vibes.They've shared split releases with the likes of Senata Fox and Analena, and will surely be something for fans of progressive hardcore and the early ebullition sound.Re: Unbroken, Damnation AD, early Neurosis and Heresy gone ape-shit.
"Fast, yet with a melodic feel. On the other hand, the combination of the vocals and the drumsound made me think of earlier finnish/swedish d-beat stuff like 3-way cum, urban riot, etc.. when i listened to this for the first time. So you see, this has a lot of different things going on and isn't that easy to categorize. With a nice variation of fast stuff (hc going onto fastcore even in one song) to an outro being totally melodic, all the songs are being played incredibly tight. And the whole thing is just like a whirlwind of good songs. It definitely caught me by surprise, that's how good this is." - mashnote zine.

Magnetize
 Dublin, Ireland
Magnetize has been making noize since the early 90s using tape loops, old synths & and guitar stomp boxes that was heavily influenced by the likes of suicide, can, amm & coil.
To date, apart from strictly limited edition releases on compilations, two lps of 'high energy cosmic radiation' have surfaced on irish experimental label rimbaud and a dark dancefloor electro ep, 'anti-chord', on renowned uk electro label templedog.

The Killing Spree

"The Killing Spree have released a debut single, 'Not Your Choice/The Urge To Purge' (Rimbaud 7") that is eerily reminiscent of some of the hard guitar groups of Midwest US's post-punk past. Sort of edgy, slammy aggro stuff in the vein of Naked Raygun or Tar or something. What's interesting in hearing this, is to remember anew how much of those groups' construction-angling was later heisted by the panty boys of math-rock.
